Family Visit - Nanaimo and Campbell River

Well come back dedicated blog readers! LOL who am I kidding :D

Anyway, Amy and I went to meet our respective families this past weekend. Shall we say it was not a smooth as I would have liked it to go.

Saturday we stopped in to see my brothers, sister and my dad in Nanaimo at my brother's place, it was fun, watching my nephew and Trevor attack each other with rolled up socks!!! Only a child can make something so mundane hilarious, Logan thought Uncle Trevor was funny too :)

Sat/Sun/Mon, we headed to Amy's family in CR. It was lots of fun, involved meeting her sister and her husband for the 1st time. I met her parents already earlier. After some fun moving furniture and learning a new card game the weekend went well. A wicked storm hit the area and knocked out the power for awhile on Monday morning. Thank goodness it calmed down around 10 so our trip back was smooth.

Monday afternoon we stopped into see my Aunt/Uncle in Nanaimo, had some coffee and good conversations. After which we dropped in to pickup somethings at my dad's and then made our way down to the ferry (hoping) that we still could make our reservation! Luckily the ferry staff directed up correctly and we made it back home ok!!!

Here is to the next trip (Christmas)!!! OMG, what a zoo that is going to be :)

Stupid things we do

Well today did bring up a good point about learning from the mistakes we make when we are young. Many moons ago, (2001 actually) I made a very critical judgment error and today it came back to haunt me. It did bring up the point that we need to sometimes get knocked down a peg or two before we realize what we have and or lost. Today showed me that, but also it did show me what I can look forward to, thanks again baby for being here for me. Will never forget it.

Onto other adventures, this time thou, I am making sure of who I let into my car :)
