Ya! My first real posting... From September 15th, 2007
Woke up to my alarm at 5:25am (uggh), grabbed a shower and hopped into my car, off to Timmies for some coffee and donuts. On the #1 at 6:20AM heading towards Merritt for breakfast and meeting our 1st realtor for the day. Hit the toll booth on the Coq about 7:30ish (hey Dad, you still got that receipt) and got our first taste of fresh air since leaving the Lower Mainland, Chilliwack smell does not count, damn cows!!!
Side Note: Through out the day we experienced blue sky and not a single cloud in the sky. You can smell the difference up there, no city or pollution smells.
Arrived in Merritt around 8:45ish, went to the restaurant we visited a couple years back, it is now a Sushi place (small towns and business do not always last). So we went into town to locate some place for food and located a Real Estate office (looked at some of the listings) then talked to a local to find the best place for breakfast (tip: ask locals for the best places when visiting a less frequented town). The nice lady directed us to the Cold Water Hotel, damn she was right, a Western Omelet for me and Ham/Cheese for Dad, very good, well priced, but the coffee really won us over. Hopefully this place will still be there next time we come through town. Well, after that we touched based with our 10:00AM appt with Century 21 and got a lot of good information on the local area, after we dumped some gas into the car we got ready to head out to Logan Lake, read more in subsequent posts.

We get clean air smells too, because we live closer to the water. You get to inhale our traffic fumes because you live downwind :)
